Independent Specialist & Suspension

Hi Guys

Just bought an early 944 as a bit of a rolling project. I know it needs a few mechanical things sorting, suspension & steering related mainly. MOT is due 1st Nov so i'm going to put it in for one 1st Oct just to see whats gonna need doing in the month. Can anyone recommend a good independent garage (or weekend fettler!) that understands these cars? The car is in Greenwich & i work near Lakeside shopping centre so somewhere SE or E London would suit best.

Has anyone any experience of the Spax PSX suspension kit (sports dampers/lowered springs). I'm pretty sure the rear dampers are shot on mine so considering this kit as it looks good value at around £350. Will i have clearance problems on the optional factory 16" wheels!
