As always, it's personal choice, but unless any work required is of a very fundamental nature, it can surely be taken care of in the price.
What I have said of Matt and the car is to the best of my knowledge, completely true and verifiable.
What Ian has said of the car is (I am sure) to the best of his knowledge completely true, and can also easily be checked prior to purchase.
But I would hate to think that by expressing any view, one is in danger of misleading ....

I think comment was made to why it had not sold...and that reason was it probably needed a little work and that engine mods are not every buyers first choice.
I'm sure everyone agrees it could be a decent car when all sorted and that price would have to reflect that or is maybe why its hung around?

Shame it looked great in those pics and from personal experience with Paul Stephens i'm suprised as I've only had great experiences with them.
Nothing against Paul Stephens...they were exemplary in pointing out its issues... [

So Jason, do you have your eyes on it, at a price ?
What? Jason snapping up a car at a bargain price. Tidying it up and selling it on in the Spring for a tidy profit? You've got 'im all wrong! [

You are all very cynical.....[
Only car I've done that with was because of circumstances otherwise it would still be in the garage[&o]
Not for me I'm afraid.....price is a long long way off what I'd be prepared to pay.
They did have a very nice 26k mile rhd maritime blue 964RS....but mr hong kong had bought at over 90k....it is very weird to see an entire marketplace for one car being supported by one person. I do think the second he stops buying them you will find a UK price correction...none are being bought by UK customers but if I owned one I'd be desperately trying to sell him it at the moment.....!!!

But if they never come back, how rare will those that are left be ?
Thats a fair point actually. The question is will a typical UK punter pay that sort of money in the future? Not so sure...but there will be few of them. Unless HK dumps them all when they want 993RS's in a few years....then GT3's.....
Recreation's value I think is more reflective on what other none recreations can be had for the same asking price rather than what the price of an original is....

So what's the cost of building a 964RS recreation ???
Depends on what your definition of recreation is. That one Jason dabbled with went a long way towards being a copy, according to the advert (I didn't get to see it as he didn't have it for very long [
Look at the C4 LWT - the market in these is very strange as there are so few of them. Same with other non-porsche of course.
