Its exactly the same as it was - none of engine mods have been put back to original but could be.
The silver mags are now on back it, also the original RS steering wheel has been put back. There's no mention of any engine mods in the PS advert whereas the GT ad goes into detail.

Oopps sorry - was typing at work - too much haste!
Back to the silver car, one of the subsequent owners or dealers may have smartened it up but even then it was unlikely to become one of the better cars out there. Just my opinion, no offence intended.

I'm beginning to realise here it's a bit of a minefield but if I had a 964rs I'd be encouraging others to buy current 964rs's that are on the mkt to help inflate the price for future values.
On which basis, you may wish to seek indpendant advice, or track the ads over recent years ...

As for inflating current prices, its largely only Des that buys and sells [

IMO all owners of 64RSs on here have offered useful advice and obviously we're all enthusiastic about the cars (it's why we're on here). Most of the cars in the UK are known to the forum members, but occasionally one or two slip through the net and it takes someone who has seen the car recently to share his view.
As for inflating the prices, do people honestly think 10 - 15 people posting on this forum can really have such an effect on the global prices of 964RSs? I think you're giving us more credit than we deserve (except Des of course, he deserves more credit than he gets). [

Encouraging new buyers to the RS fold is all well and good but it would be preferable to steer them towards a good and rewarding car that would create positive feedback in the long term.. This would tend to enhance values over time whereas encouraging owners to buy a poorer car equals disgruntled owners who wonder what all the fuss is about and generate bad press which pushes people towards GT3's and hurts values.

Ian, I respect your view of the car, but knowing Matt, was there anything it needed that he didn't do to it ?
I'm not sure if I ever rode in it, but it always looked a nice car to me --- and low miles.
It has 993 induction and has been rolling roaded at well over 325 BHP (I believe at Wayne Schofield's Chip Wizards) --- ask Melv if this makes any difference, he has it on his Cup. Plus the original induction ....
Nobody expects it to sell at garage queen money ... but at £20k less as a car to enjoy ? How much more is that than a good re-creation ?
Regarding the Jurgen Alzen, he spent almost five figures on it ....
