ORIGINAL: 944 man Block, heads, cams, rods, who is building it, what turbo, what ECU, who is mapping it, which transmission.. everything really? As a 2.3l Im guessing that its an EJ20 block?
lol ...been awhile since i seen the car let see if i can remmember what on the car [:)] , It in Prosport (stockport, manchester), went in there for the work in 2008(yeah i know...... 4years this comming august ). EJ22 closed deck block forged(engine is from Raw performance USA),P1(sti V)heads polished and ported, standard cams, supertech inclonel inlet/ex valves with supertech uprated valve springs , MD321T turbo, mapper is the legendary Bob Rawle of BR Developement , sti uk 6 speed box, HKS twin plated Clutch...the one that rattles, motec M800 pro ecu with close loop fueling enabled ,ARP 14mm head studs, probably will be cosmetec head gasket or maybe cosworth when finnished ,800cc injector, bosch twin fuel pump with swirlpot in boot ,Sx fuel regulator, evolution straight through 3" exhaust , HKS fr mounted intercooler with hard piping , AP Racing 6 pots front big brake kits , Brembo 4 pots rear setup ,uprated engine and gearbox mount(even stronger better than Group N ones of rally), uprated braided brakepipe hose all round , samco hose kit all round, Whiteline anti-lift kit, Whiteline uprated fr and rr anti-roll bar and alloy droplinks, polybrush all round, RCM oil pump,RCM oil catch can (it the large one that mounts on the innner wing ). there a lot more but these are the important bits . reason its been in Prosport so long is because 1: the owner (peter connelly)want to work on the car himself , 2:they are a very busy place (best in manchester for tunning /servicing Subarus ) and had alot of staffing problems(Peter very fussy on the mechanics he employs to work on customer's cars , so most do not stay there long.... as the average spanner monkey dont work on customer car with passion ) so they are always short of good mechanics, 3: he knows I have "other toys" to keep me occupy so I dont chase him on the car and i run a very busy business so I sometimes forgets that the car has been in there for so long. anyway hopefully will have the car on the road soon ...maybe june (spec will most likely change by then ) ,Actually spoke to Peter last Tues and will probably go and see the progress on the car next week . here a pic of the beast http://s17.photobucket.com/albums/b67/bighead8050/?action=view¤t=IMG_0048.jpg
