Some little ****** has knicked my teledial wheel centres. Anyone got any going spare or know of a good source???

All the usual specialist suppliers sell the whole range of wheel centres, Design 911, Porscheshop etc. Check around for best prices.

I'd consider the possibility that a brand new set could just be a temptation. Were they nicked from your home, where the toerags are waiting for you to replace them? I know that D911 do a monochrome plastic set for c. £20 that is going to be less of a loss than an £80 set of coloured centres. You could always say that monochrome wheel centres are the new clear-lenses, the yellow and red on the Porsche crest is so old-fashioned! [:D][:D]

Thanks Paul. They had just been painstakingly handpainted after a wheel refurb (not by me, I would add!) so they did look nice but still had the two removal holes.
New set sounds good, or maybe some of those James bond style wing shredders!
Last time it was the bonnet badge and I managed to trace it back to a schoolkid who was gonna drill it and wear it on a chain! Got it back minus the gasket obviously!
Thought such an old lady might have been exempt from such abuse by now. Sadly not!

Oh dear. Is there any hope for me whatsoever? 'No', you say? Ah well.

(Orange indicators on the front. Orange indicators on the side. Yellow-and-red wheel centres on D90 alloys. Sandals on the feet. Tanktop over crimpolene shirt.)

I bought a pair of the alloy colour crested centres at the weekend...£82 - they don't have the 2 holes, which means you have to take the wheel off to knock them out from behind.

Handy to stop thieving feckers, but a PITA if you want to take them out for any reason. Not sure if I like them now - probably like them more with the wheels refurbished [:)]

Mine had a new badge in it's previous ownership, one of my jobs is to sort out the gouge in the paintwork from teh screwdriver used to remove it[]

What is the current thinking on indicators/repeaters on a red car? Orange, Clear or Smoked?

I think that you should leave it as it is: Im not in favour of trying to make the car look newer than it is (and by definition, more valuable). That said, I saw a car with a set of Wolfie's clear rear indicator lenses the other day and it looked quite nice...

hiya albert, in same line of thought as yourself as i have clear at the front and am wondering to match up or leave orange side indicators on, as i also have red , any feedback more then welcome cheers jason p

Hi Jason,

Well I had to add my 2p's worth didn't I, since I've got all clears on red and have to admit to being slightly biaised [;)]

IMHO if you've got clear fronts then you should do the sides as well - as for doing the rears, that again is a matter of personal taste and requires a degree of skill to get a near factory look. For me it wasn't about trying to make the car look newer for the sake of it, it's just that styling enhancement is what I do. I guess it's a Marmite thing....bit like my LED sidelights. If you haven't seen it already, you can see the overall look in the opening sequences of.....

Looking good there scotty. The white paint has a distinct green hue in the first piccie - reflections from the grass, or colour balance on my screen (or your camera) up the spout? (I have to say it looks quite good, and made me wonder whether a very light mint green would suit a 944.)
