Grills

Evening gentleman. I’ve recently bought a 991.1. Coming back from Spain last week I collected a piece of polystyrene in the front left rad. A concern. What are your thoughts about the AM grills availabl? Do they impede airflow? can they cause a problem? Thank you. Tony

Zunsport grills are perfect for this. Loads of threads on here on these grills. I cannot tell you that there is no reduction in air flow but drove mine through Spain last year and had no issues in the heat.

Search for Rennline Radiator Grilles and on page 2 of the thread I summarised the installation of my Zunsport grills.

If you are thinking of fitting mesh to the air intakes and you have extended warranty in place, you need to be aware there could be adverse implications.

Thank you Clive, I have warranty until 2021. That may cause a problem. It just seems a bit odd having rads so exposed.

OPCs understand that we have the grills. I leave mine on for servicing but I think they want them removed for warranty work or inspections.

Hi Esclanec

i still have a set of 991.1 Zunsport grills for sale, removed from my 2012 911 Carrera 4S, prior to its sale.

please see my post of 28 February 2019

For warranty extensions I had the grills removed and then reinstalled.

regards

paul
