Fantastic car

What happened to the Merc and all those good things you said about it ? :ROFLMAO:
Yes, test drove the GT Coupe at Brooklands, it sounded awesome, went around the test track very well, is a very beautiful car and you would see less of them on the roads compared to 911's which while not a everyday sighting are not as unusual as they once were.
So why not get the AMG? Well the first doubt in my mind was when Katrina said "but it's not a Porsche is it?" I brushed this off and thought what does she know! There have been other doubts through combing through hours of tests and reviews on youtube, but I wrestled with this decision for a while and long story short, I had my car in for its 4 year service and MOT and while I was at Guildford it got me looking back at Porsche's again just to check I wasn't going to make a howler of a decision jumping to another brand and as you know I looked at a lovely yellow GT4 a couple of months ago as well as a Spyder and GT3, all of which had their premiums which to be honest was not endearing me to staying with the brand. The GT4 I was looking at actually sold while I was in the showroom, which got me talking to one of the sales guys at Guildford OPC, another long story short it turned out that the ideal car for me for what I wanted out of the car was a GTS and not a more track focused full GT car, so that is what I changed my focus onto.
And now it's too late, I'm committed and have to stop looking at other cars for a few month ;-)
I say goodbye to the white one on Friday which is sad because it has been a great car and then I just have to wait a couple of months for the new one - excited!

I must confess, so do I :)
I've got a July build slot confirmed, so hopefully end of July/early August - Can't wait, not had a new one before, just ex demo's.
What colour did you go for?
I went for Miami Blue, it was a close call with Red, but the one I test drove was the blue and it looked really nice.
Russel, I love mine, now it has done 2500 miles it seems to go even better. I have now come to prefer it over my previous 4GTS. The RWS is awesome.

I'd echo that; had my new 4GTS for a few days now and the RWS really does make a huge difference. The car is an absolute dream.

Hi Russell

Congrats on your upcoming new car. Are you still travelling to Georgia? If so a chance we might catch up in the lounge again sometime.
Best wishes

Hi Jonathan, thank you!
Yes, not long come back from Atlanta, I got caught up in the BA fiasco which all happened on the day I was due to fly home.
Had an extra day at the Airport and flew home with Delta the following day.

Hope all is OK with you guys?

Best regards

Sorry only just picked up the last few posts (alternative to grim political TV news) I think Miami Blue will look great and the GTS is getting rave reviews but a bit surprised you have not gone for a cab, I thought that had always been a priority. Also a brave comment saying "what does she know!" hope she has not read the post !!
Look forward to seeing it in the future, did you think about factory collection ?

yes the Cab was a tough decision, but I'd been looking at GT4 & 3 which aren't available in Cabs, so when I saw the blue Demo coupe with the glass roof and black windows at Hatfield it got me thinking about giving it a try. It will make a change and should handle better bring lighter etc.

Yeah, don't tell Katrina otherwise the car deal could be off! :)

Just been to west wales this weekend and our car performed perfectly can't decide between a gts or the turbo s
