Following some doubt, next year's Cotswold Rally is on. Booking details are below.
The numbers are reduced to 100, so bearing in mind that last year's 150 tickets sold out and a lot of members were disappointed, can I suggest you book early this year? I'm sure some of you will think about it the week before, just don't come to me and complain if you miss out!
There is another aspect to this year's event. There is a prize awarded to the Register with the best turnout. Not just numbers, but as a proportion of the size of the Register and the number of Register members who help out on the day. As a big Register we will never be able to have the highest proportion; one Carrera GT is equivalent to about 400 944s. We can, however, put forward any volunteers who might be able to help with the organisation. Contact Geoff if you can help.
The prize for the best Register representation is currently known only to the Register Secretaries, but it's a fantastic prize. I would be unable to accept it personally, as I'm a total coward with a fear of heights. And, I've met Derek Sharp [&:]. Suffice to say that if the 944 Register win this, one of you will be in for a real treat. Every 944 owner who books the event will be entered in to a draw if we were to win the prize, as that's the fairest way I can think of to allocate the winner's treat!
