Classic insurance?

I'm with Lockton's Performance under the PCGB scheme, IIRC renewal was May or June? Price was slightly up as per usual to last years of around £400. This includes breakdown/recovery, mods and an agreed value of £25k which is what PCGB valued the car at. Interestingly Lockton's told me that as of this year all policies include an agreed value, I wonder if this might be a move to protect themselves from the large increase in recent years of values in classic cars in their core business of Porsche, Ferrari and Aston Martin marques. Just a theory...

I've found with valuations that evidence of very recent work, works in your favour (last 2 years generally). Given that I've had a recent engine build, new to me mint gearbox, full brake overhaul, suspension refresh, paint and other bits and pieces, and armed with the fact that the fire damaged turbo I got my box from had a £25k payout this year, they didn't even argue with the figure I suggested.
My last 3 years have been £222, £252 and £288. So they seem to play fair. Obviously my £288 moved to £321 for reasons explained.
