Hi all, and thanks for your patience whilst the 944 Register participation in the event was sorted out.

At yesterday's Board meeting it was agreed that we will have a 30-car display along the entrance road to the event, so everyone gets do come past us as they enter and can walk around the display. This will be over the two days, so now we need the cars!

As everyone was so keen for us to have a bigger presence, I know we'll have no shortage of cars. Can you please e-mail me if you want to participate, detailing car, your contact number and whether you're there Saturday, Sunday or both days? I already have the names of some people, but feel free to contact me again. The only stipulation is please understand it's a display, so the cars really need to be parked early and left for the day unless there's an urgent reason they need to move; no-one wants a display of cars that is half-empty by lunchtime.

We're also going to have one of the conference rooms for an hour or so on the Sunday, and I'm arranging for someone to speak. What about, I've no idea yet, but more details to follow. If anyone wants to do a short presentation or anything please let me know.

Saturday is members-only, but Sunday is open to the public. The ticket hotline is 01608 652930, and prices are very reasonable at £10 per day for a car and two people, £5 per extra passenger and under 16s FREE.

The hotel itself is already fully booked, but there's a list of local accomodation here: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=705316

Accomodation is booking fast at local hotels as well, with several now full. I'm in the Holiday Inn, Wychbold, which is the nearest.

More cars needed as well, keep 'em coming! [:)]

90% sure I will be there, just need to get accomodation sorted.

Will have my 2.7 lux for display.

Alan.

Cheers guys, all noted on my new "piece of paper". [:)]

I'll start replying to all the offers over the next few days.

We will be there on one of the two days and will happily put my car in the display. Will look to confirm which day and let you know Paul.

Sadly I wont be there, I will be several thousand miles away - a Job has delayed the start of our holiday so we wont be back in time, Should be a great event!
Tony

OK, accomodation booked for Friday and Saturday, entry tickets booked and Saturday dinner booked. Looks like I will definatly be there, can display car both days but probably be leaving about 4ish on Sunday to head home. Further North than Paul could imagine. lol.

Thanks Paul, Where are all the others?, there seemed to be interest early on.

How many so far? You could post up a list of who´s put their name down and for what day.

Alan.

Nice one, thought that was the case cheers Paul.
Yes we are there on the Sunday only but are booked into the hotel for Saturday night so we can amble our way up Saturday and enjoy the day without being tired and rushed early on the Sunday ( its our age!!)

Hi Alan,

We're about halfway, with it in Porsche Post end-July and an e-mail going out to the Register. It was just too late for the last PP, so it's forum-users only so far, on top of the few who'd already come forward when the event was announced.

I've got it all collated at my end, I don't really want a list here as not all will be forum users so there's not much point. It also runs the risk that people will add to it without me noticing, this already happens with me forgetting to look in my PM box (emailing is so much better). Strictly first-come, so I don't want someone getting upset because they posted somewhere on the forum that they wanted to be in the display but I missed it!

Hi Paul
I should be there Saturday,
Mines not a very smart example as you know but if you're short , it looks ok from a distance.
Cheers
