Chateau Impney event

Mines not a very smart example as you know but if you're short , it looks ok from a distance.

Why does it only look OK from a distance for short persons? [&:]

Excellent, that's another one on the list! More, please. [:)]

Further good news from Peter Bull today. We now have a 944 bonnet freshly back from the paintshop wearing a new coat of Guards Red. This will be at Chateau Impney for the weekend, and can be signed by every 944 Register member attending the event. It will then be hung on the wall at Cornbury House.

Another good reason to book tickets. [:)]

Nearly filled all the spaces on the display now. Come on, let's get the full 30 cars on both days? It was the pressure from the forum over not having any big celebration that got us the 30-car spot at a venue that's very limited for tarmac areas. There are some really ropey cars booked in, so don't worry if your's isn't perfect!

Don't forget to sign the 944 30th anniversary bonnet. As one of the models that so many members either own, or have owned and fondly remember, this will be a great piece of wall art in Cornbury House.

I would really appreciate a couple of volunteers prepared to take over the 944 display, and supervise the special pen [:D], for a couple of hours on Saturday and Sunday. I'm happy to be there most of the time, but there is the EGM where we need to vote to approve using modern communication like Skype to help with cutting director's expenses at board meetings, and I might want to sample the fantastic food and toilet facilities occasionally. Let me know if you're happy to sit on the display, talk to interested visitors, and stop 911 owners defacing our celebration bonnet for an hour or so either day. [:)]

I'll be there on the Saturday Paul so you can put me down for the 30th display if you still need numbers and I'm happy to man the bonnet and pen for a few hours whenever you need.

Is there Security to protect the bonnet in case any of the other Guards pink owners take a fancy to a proper red one? [:D]

I can do Saturday (944 2.7 '89- fairly reasonable) if you need another car.
What sort of time do I need to be 'in place'?
cheers,
Ian

Have you been listening in to my phone calls? [&:]

I've learnt my lesson after the Leveson Inquiry [;)]

Is anyone planning to camp overnight like the good old days? 944 Beer & BBQ evening etc

Hi all,

Just over a week to go. We still need more cars for the 944 30th Anniversary display; it was pressure from the Register members that got us a large chunk of the very limited hard-standing, so come on! [:)]

Can the people who've committed so far please e-mail me your addresses to 944@porscheclubgb.com ? I can then send your passes and final details out in the post.

Don't forget to sign the 944 bonnet as well. It will be on the display both days, and in the hotel in the evening. No tiny signatures, please, as we want the whole thing covered in names and messages.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
