Helen,

If you're looking for an alternative aircraft-based Southern venue you could have a look at the Shuttleworth Collection, based at Old Warden Aerodrome, Beds. https://www.shuttleworth.org/

Some very interesting historic vintage aircraft and other vehicles, etc. are on display, and there's plenty of parking space. The Swiss Garden adjacent to the Collection is a good place to visit for those whose interests extend beyond Porsches..!

Jeff

Shame re Duxford. Shuttleworth is a great venue......

Winter Driving Musings- Unfortunately could not join in on the trip to Kimbridge Barn, hope to attend next one at Duxford.Had to visit my new grandson over the weekend in Shrewsbury. Really surprised on the trip from Peterborough to Shrewsbury plus driving around the Shrewsbury area and then the return journey(c. 300 miles of driving) not to see a single Porsche sportscar! The weather was great this weekend for a country drive. Gatherings are great but it would be nice to see an array of our brand sportscars being used all year round.

Cliff, as I have said before you are listed in the membership register and should receive the mail chimps, maybe in your junk folder?

I have heard absolutely nothing regarding any replacement RS and at my local meeting last night talking with others who are less than impressed by the amount of time it is taking. Several other registers are said to be in a similar situation or so I was told but I don't know which.

Eddie,

As far as I know, it's still on.

It's a Cayman meet ... you've got a Cayman ... therefore no reason you wouldn't be welcome.!

Awesome. Thank you.

As its open to Macan owners as well I expect there should be a reasonable turnout. If the weather forecast is good then probably a good number.

Robert

Got my ticket and hopefully the weather won't be quite as bad as we're lead to believe.

Hope to see the Macan's out in force and as many Cayman's as can brave the elements!

Macan Register Secretary

Well i am on my way down to Cambridge so i will be at Duxford to meet and greet you all In the morning. I am still going to brave the Cayman. As it really need some miles put on it. We always seem to use the Macan everywhere we go.

fingers crossed the weather isn’t as bad tomorrow as the weather men are predicting

A wet and very windy forecast, but it looks as though temperatures will hold up.

Just make sure you've got some decent wet weather gear - you'll need it for hopping between hangers, and it's a big site.!

Have fun.!

Jeff

Weather here in Cambridge is awful. although Duxford museum web site says it will still be open i am having serious thoughts about heading straight for home as weather forcaste says it will get worse before it gets better. Its about a 3 hour drive for me even in good weather.

thoughts ?
