Cayenne E-Hybrid Platinum Edition

As new car experiences seem a bit sparse on here, I thought I would add a brief post that may hopefully generate a little bit of interest and potentially help anyone else currently pondering over renewing their Cayenne.

It's no secret the current Cayenne is due a facelift next year, clearly this is also backed by the addition of the Platinum Edition to the range, the run out model that has a few special add ons and of course more importantly some extra toys thrown in.

With prices currently being so unbelievably strong, I decided to take the plunge and update my latest Cayenne E Hybrid earlier on in the year and ordered the Platinum Edition, before you say it, yes I know it's pretty much the same car, with a few extras added, but with a minimal cost to change into a new car it pretty much seemed like a no-brainer.

I did ponder briefly over a GTS but with the current tax rules the E Hybrid certainly makes a lot more sense to me, it's tax efficient, offers great performance and I can vouch it certainly holds its value exceptionally well. I guess sometimes you're better to stick with what works best for you than to let your heart rule your head, but then again that’s what Porsche ownership does to you.

Anyway I'm picking it up this weekend so I will report back as to whether those additions were indeed worth the wait. I'm also excited to see, just how good the new Chromite Black Metallic looks in real life on such a big car.

Looking forward to seeing the pictures. We have a 2020 Quartzite metallic E Hybrid and I have been thoroughly impressed by it. Interested to hear how many miles you get out of a charge with the bigger battery

this is a quiet site which is no surprise as the Cayenne is a family car so less likely to attract enthusiasts to sites like these compared to the sports car owners

regards

I'd love your thoughts on Chromite Black! I too have a spec locking this week on an E-Hybrid Platinum Edition and the colour is my last minute wobble!

My 718 is metallic black and it looks fabulous for about 5 minutes after I have washed it and then shows every speck of flippin dust ??

DCCT, The E-Hybrid Platinum Edition is a great car, obviously colour choice is very much a personal thing but I really like the Chromite Black, in some lights it even looks like a really dark grey.

Personally I think its a lovely colour, having had a Carrara White one and a standard Black one previously. My opinion is white makes the car look even bigger then it actually is, even strangely enough even from the drivers seat as you seem to look out even further over the bonnet.

Perhaps before you do make that final decision it may well be worth popping into your local OPC and sitting in another colour if possible just for your own peace of mind. I'm in the North East if you're anywhere near, more than happy to meet up or if you pm me I can whattsapp you a few extra pictures if you like.

Regards
Greg.

Looks stunning! Appreciate them!

Just had word that my Build has been pushed due to Bose amplifier issues so looks like it won’t be here until Jan :( does give me some time to bottom out colour though!

Greg, your cars looks great, loving the black with contrast red interior.

interested what range the electric shows after a full charge compared to our 2020 version that maxes out at 27 miles but normally sits between 23 and 25 mile.

Morning Alan, this one tops out at 28, but in reality probably does somewhere around 20. It will be very interesting to see if the new model (facelift) is any better next year. Although as my wife will testify she tends to get much better efficiency than me for some reason. :ROFLMAO:

Greg, it’s the opposite in our family, I get more range out of the car than my wife. Probably because I get my fun out of the cayman and am happy to pootle around in the Cayenne
