Hope the new motor lives up to your expectations - like you I've had a great few years of KN ownership so far but have no intention of changing brands atm. Let's have your comparisons when you've had the RS for a while.

So lived with a RS6 for 2 weeks now .. Still "running in", so around 800 miles on the clock . .
Summary .. its Fast .. No, that's a lie ........ its Brutally Fast [

], most of the time its driven using the first one maybe two centimetres of pedal travel, forget about it and pull out at a junction with a bit of right foot and be ready to hit the car in front ! LOL
Brakes are good...and I did not go for the 5K Ceramics as well
Handling is like a 2 ton estate car, I'd say more nimble than a Cayenne, but not a Boxster.. However Its real fun to play with on the country roads, bit boring on Motorways as its just "really really easily bumbling along" at '70'.. I beleive its capable of doing more than 70mph in situations where its allowed [

Build quality .. Audi like, as in very good, but to be honest its not Porsche standards.. bit more plastic than Porsche - however all the buttons, dials, knobs .. German excellance of course
Ride is great in Dynamic and Comfort and teeth jarring in Sport... Like the Boxster with PASM set to sport
Ipod Integration, Hard Disk Juke Box , DAB radio, also having Steve McQueen's Le Mans DVD in the Media system is a blast (DVD of course only when stationary) .. The Music / entertainment /Sat Nav system if you'd like my summary is Porsche could learn a lot from Audi.. Using the 3D sat nav in London with a 3D view of things like Houses of Parliment and London eye is so ahead of Porsches Sat Nav
Fuel Consumption around town is err .. "not good" [

] I see approx 15mpg at best .. On a "70" mph Motorway cruise it will deliver 22 mpg (IMO not bad for a V10 5.2L)
Public Acceptance factor.. Hardly anyone sees it for more than a "Audi Estate Car" .. so no one looks at you..... for instance, its nice to drive past the primary school beside our house and not have the parents leap and grab their children as they see a "killer SUV" approach ... (always drives me mad as I was always well under the posted 20 mph and very aware of the surroundings .. I live here for petes sake, to be honest I think I drive safer that most "non SUV" vehicles I see around the school) also the 'Lollipop Lady' does not seem to insist on leaping out in front of me to stop "that awfull big car"
Do I miss the Cayenne .. yes I really do ... I'd have another one tomorrow, they are IMO great cars... The RS6 is just very very different and I'm enjoying it.. We are off in a few weeks on a walking Holiday in the Lakes, our Cayenne was the perfect car for that.. It'll be interesting to see how the RS6 steps up to wet boots, clothes, bags been chucked in. I do already have one "concern" which is not having the luxary of parking pretty much any where ... [

So I think this may well be my last post in the Cayenne Section .. So I waves bye to all fellow Cayenne owners as I'll be desub'ing from the section as well, many thanks to all the folks I interacted with re Cayennes over the last 3 years.. I wish you safe travels and happy motoring in your vehicles
I'll still be around in the Boxster Section if any one wants to 'poke me' re my experiance of 3 years in a V6 Cayenne
