Wheel off is 5 bolts. Caliper off is another two, plus the flexi fitting. That takes me 15 minutes at the outside, using hand tools. A proper ramp and air tools will get this down to a lot, lot less.ORIGINAL: Copperman05
Come on let's be realistic, 5 minutes to get car on lift, remove wheels, remove calipers, unseize hex screws, pack to send to refurb, refit, fit pads, fill and bleed fluid. Road test. (You want them to test they work right).

Reality is this cars cost £££ to maintain if not doing the work yourself, it's why I'm starting to take mine to self service garage for simple things like oil change and stuff.
Now that is absolutely spot on, and paying someone else to do jobs you can do yourself makes no sense at all. Well done for DIY-ing jobs yourself; I get the impression that your S2 hasn't proved cheap to run (bust radiator and vandalism in the last month haven't helped) and sensible savings are always welcome.
I had a couple of 'Garage Saturdays' a while back, where I invited any local 944 owners to come over with a list of DIY-able jobs to do on their cars and we'd spend a happy day tinkering. I'd provide* a bread-and-soup lunch and a fun day would be had by all, hopefully with some freshly serviced, fettled or otherwise mended 944's at the end of it. (In fact, there are some photos on here somewhere from the last one.) Perhaps it's something we could think about doing again, although probably when the weather has warmed up a little. Would you be up for such a thing Edd, as a fellow London-dwelling 944 owner?
Oli.
* - That was a lie. My missis always did the lunch, as she's much better at it than I am.
