Beaulieu Porsche Day, Sunday 3rd June.....anyone going?

Well we printed out the stuff but no one on the gate was interested!!
we ended up in a field somewhere
lots of other nice Porsche though and good day had in lovely weathe
forgot how Shit the food reviews were - awful!!
ok coffee though
shame didn’t see where the rest of R16 was...

Got directed straight to the PCGB parking and took the last handfull of spaces with the guys that turned up a picket post, over 40 minutes to get in from the main entrance though.

they did anounce multiple entrances for next year due to the significant rise in numbers seen this year

good day with stunning weather

Karl

We were running late so didn’t join you at picket post. When we arrived the queues were massive but we did get directed to the correct parking, but there wasn’t much room left.

great weather and very nice to see so many Porsche’s.

Yes the R16 group were scattered around a bit, Next year we must try and all go in together, I understand there were over 1500 cars there

Official announcement stated 1600 cars!
I personally thought the food on offer in the Brabazon restaurant was very poor this year, especially the bacon rolls in the morning being served with stale brioche buns!
Arrived 8.50am and stilled queued from the road, about 15 minutes, some members reporting 45 minute wait and overheating engines. I was one of the first onto PCGB plot, which did fill up preventing some with the printed sign from joining us. Anyway still had another great day.

Our grateful thanks to Jon, Treff and all the Dorest chapter for making all us 'tourists' from R31 and other regions so welcome (and finding spaces for us in the PCGB area). BTW, we had no problem flashing our bit of paper to the marshalls who courteously directed us to the PCGB area without any fuss.

With Simply Porsche getting so big, probably the biggest Porsche-focused event in the UK now, hopefully the Club will support it as a national event next year (as they were considering doing last year). It's a great showcase for the Club and many people there were asking about PCGB membership. 'Fraid the Pirelly barbie at Cornbury House was no contest. Which begs the question, why not hold the barbie at Beaulieu next year?
