Bad news on my 944

You can get a floor from Porsche for about £450. I had to put a new floor in m ine when i did the sills as the floor runs past the inner sill and joins the outer at the lip along the bottom. Replacing the floor is the only way to fix this properly.

So my update......

The 944 is now in the hands of David at Augment Automotive and he has opened her up to reveal the extent of the rust.

The original rusty main sills had been bashed in with a hammer and then a simple plate outside sill replacement welded over, filled and painted. So the rust was hidden to work its way into the inner sills and the floorpan.

So new OEM Sills and repairs to the floorpan are on the way, probably looking at a torque tube refurb and clutch as well. If those don't need doing i may go for Augments flushable ECU and fairy cam ti up the BHP. Also renew the suspension either way. Oh and a Momo Prototipo steering wheel!

Got to have some fun bits done.......

When I've figured out photo sharing i'll get some pics up.
