Apple Car Play update IOS 12.0 and Google maps

Further to all that has gone before I now program my route directly into my iphone and connect via the USB. No need to transfer from my mac. Up to 9 stopovers/waypoints between start and finish are enough for me. I have also personally found Garmin Basecamp very clunky, annoyingly time consuming and, again, requiring a transfer. Thank you IOS12.

I agree about Basecamp that's why I use the much more intuitive Garmin Mapsource originally shipped with their motorbike Sat Navs. It's still downloadable via a search on the web.
I must say your eyes must be much better than mine if you can program a route via your iPhone [8|]. Well done you but lets face it being able to transfer GPX files to your PCM would be much easier for us all instead of scratching around for other solutions?

Totally agree, Graham.
