Anyone waiting for a GTS Allocation ?

I suspect you’ve looked at it several times already since posting and zoomed it to have a good look around. I recognise the other frustrations you posted previously but surely you’re smiling for ear to ear seeing those photos? Thanks for sharing, it’s lovely. I have asked for the aerokit on mine too, my wife asked why - I said I just wanted one. She put up some serious serious resistance because she thought I was after the one fitted to the GT3!

Hi Nigel,

Thank you. Yes, zoomed in and checked the details over, can just about make the red dials and a bit of the red stitching in the High Res pictures on the app. Mine comes with Good Year Eagle F1 Supersports, which I'm fine with as they're supposed to be great fast road and occasional track day type of tyres, which suits me just fine.

Definitely made me forget about some of the frustrations when I saw the pics, and yes was smiling from ear to ear! Can't wait to get my hands on it now, arriving soon at the dealers all being well.

Yes, the wing is not as aggressive as the GT3 wing, but I think the 992 pulls this wing off nicely as I've seen a couple of cars with it in the flesh and I like it a lot. I think a lot of my delay was to do with the Aerokit, but hopefully all worth it in the end. ??????

Awesome news Schuey!!! Wont be long now. Looks amazing!
Keep your eye on the app as well as at first I only had 2-3 pictures but ended up with another before delivery.
Aside from a lose USB socket face, I have zero complaints so far (fingers crossed). The F1s are starting to grip nicely after 200miles and while not my favorite tyres I prefer them over the P-Zeros.
If you are not a fan of the front reg plate send me a PM and I'll get you in contact with the company that supplied my sick-on plate and share some pics.

Hey Bluetonic,

Thanks for the comments and I'll have a think about the front number plate and will PM you. Will also check on the app to see if any other photos get uploaded, good shout! ????

Hi Schuey - the level of expectation must be palpable! Looks fab.

Thanks Mike, I really can't believe this is about to happen, things are starting to feel real for once! Had to slap myself earlier just to check I wasn't dreaming. ??

Interestingly today I spoke with an OPC salesman and he said that the delivery of 992 GTS.2 will come out in 2025 and would most likely be a hybrid!!

Also that they would not be able to supply a 992 C2S or C2 for the foreseeable future.

Interesting- if I’m honest that was part of my reasoning for ordering ours when I did. We have the Macan S and it sounds awesome when it fires up. My Panny hybrid just whisps out the garage without making a sound (except the reversing beepers if I’m too close to the wall haha). I wanted some of that grunt and emotion so deliberately ordered the GTS before it went over to a hybrid.

If true, then that makes the timing of my ordering even sweeter for me personally. Last of the full ICE engines and I'm not interested in Hybrid or Electric Vehicles at all. Wife's car is a Hybrid and part of the VW Group, had lots of electric gremlins and been back to the dealers twice for software updates and one 48v battery replacement.

Agreed, it looks like the C2 and C2S is off the order list until the .2 starts full production.
Great news if you are trading in a current 992 C2/S as some of us GTS owners are (I got almost what I paid for mine new from Porsche a few weeks ago), bad news if you want to buy one. The one I traded in was for sale a whole week before being snapped up, so you need to be quick to bag a good example.

Really not sure about a hybrid 911.
Hybrids tend to have a small petrol and electric power plant working together. Combined they are great but run out of electric and you have an underpowered petrol engine supporting all that extra weight, run on just electric and you have very little range.... Hopefully Porsche have addressed that somehow and avoided building an overweight, emotionless, impractical appliance.
Porsche seem to be investing heavily into synthetic fuels to keep the ICE alive so surely an ICE AND full Electric 911 option would be better (911S or 911E) to keep everyone happy?

Personally I'm planning to run a fully loaded Ioniq 5 as the family wagon from next year (all electric Macan has been put back again to 2024 and will no doubt be expensive) and keep my manual GTS for driving trips and pure weekend driving enjoyment. Best of both worlds.

Just watched a 992 GT3 video, and the owner in the vid said Porsche no longer supply a Centre Lock removal adaptor, because Porsche feel it should only be removed by an authorised dealer.

So my question is, for those of you who have recently taken delivery of your 992 GTS, have Porsche supplied the Centre Lock removal adaptor?

Yep, it should be in your frunk.
Removing the wheel isn't rocket science, you just need the right tools and know what you are doing.
Lots of really good guides on this forum IF you want to DIY.

Hope it’s not been deleted in the MY23 version. I know there are a few changes. Ours is now an MY23 and ours salesman called a few weeks back to walk us through the changes ….. didn’t mention wheel removal tool delete….. so fingers crossed.

Right folks, sorry for not posting any pics from collection since yesterday, as you can appreciate I've been spending more time in the car and on the road. Covered 280 miles so far, and I'm behaving by sticking to the Run-In procedure. But man, you can tell the car just wants to fly in Sports mode! Can't wait to unleash the beast after around 1000 miles.

So far so good, but one thing I've noticed is that on the motorway above 80mph, I'm getting slight wind noise from the driver side window. Anyone know why that might be the case, have any of you experienced this on yours? Anyone suggest a quick fix for this instead of having to take it back to dealer for them to look at?

Anyway, that's a minor thing and will get sorted. Here are some pics from collection day yesterday. I'm in love with the car already and grateful to have my first Porsche finally :)

Hey schuey - looks amazing.
is the noise a whistling wind noise from the drivers side?
if so, all my 992s have done that inc an early cabriolet and the latest GTS.
found some posts online ages ago where people investigated with little bits of tape and found the exact spot that caused it… :)
