I do not know where the unreliable 944 Turbo thing comes from ? i can probably count 2 faults which rendered a 944 Turbo "going nowhere" a DME and a TPS, I can honestly say they are as reliable as any other 944 model if looked after i have owned 944 Turbos for at least 10 years along with a Lux.
I have no beef with S2 cars as i nearly bought one this year and have driven a few and enjoyed them IMO they are way undervalued, but at the end of the day lads at 100 leptons and you hit 18psi there are not a lot of things on the road that can give that kick or grin, and around the twistys are the same as if you know how to keep them singing, lag is negligible in a tuned and sorted car...................using the gearbox also helps !!!
