I have a need to be able to stow a wheelchair when taking a disabled person to appointments. Those I have currently seen are too bulky/heavy etc to fit either in the frunk or safely in the back. Suggestions on which make etc would be welcome. Thank you.

No idea if it will fit frunk may fit in the back (it fitted the boot of a Fiat 500 with the back seats push a little forward but my wife recently broke her ankle. We used one of these to good effect for a month or so.

Think Amazon stock them as well - and both stores have very good returns policy if they don’t fit.

I have one in the loft I used to put in the back of my 991 when I took my late Mum for hospital visits. You have to learn the 'way' it goes in but it fits fine. Just unclip the foot supports and put them in the footwell and put a blanket in the back to protect things. £50 and its yours. I can post a picture of the wheelchair.

Thank you to both helpful replies. I have resisted putting a wheelchair behind the seats as, apart from the potential damage to the leather (even when wrapped carefully), unless securely fastened it could be come a lethal weapon in any accident. Hence my requirement for one to fit in the front when folded down. Thanks again.

If it were possible for a wheelchair to fit in the front, where does the passenger sit who its intended for?

In the event of an accident, agreed the wheelchair would be free to move forward. The seat backs will stop it. No possibilty of it getting any further forward. Put one in the front and that would be dangerous. If your then worried about it damaging the cars interior, I would argue that in an accident that will be the least of your concerns. In two years of putting it in the back of my car, I scratched nothing. You take your time.

If none of these solutions are acceptable then you are going to choose a a more appropriate vehicle. My 991 was my only car and a daily so I made it work.

Thank you. Lack of clarity on my part. By the front I meant the front luggage compartment not the front seat area. My 991.2 is also my only car and daily drive so yes I have to use the car for everything and generally manage. By the way - where are you in the UK in case I want to take up your offer please? Thank you.
