Regrettably my cherished 993 RS has to be sold. 1995, Guards Red, FSH, Recent new tyres , recent lightweight flywheel and clutch assembly, less than 1000 miles since full top end rebuild by Ninemeister, (engine bay finished to concours standard) new dampers all round, less than 10,000 miles ago, (new rear top mounts fitted at the same time) , new steering rack dampers fitted (less than 6,000 miles)The car is a proper lightweight version (no airbags, no aircon or electric windows)
Supplied by the factory with RSR/Clubsport front and rear splitters/wing and 993 Supercup Momo steering wheel. The car came from the factory with comfort seats, these were replaced with Recaro SPGs by the previous owner, I have subsequently fitted genuine factory 993RSR/968 Clubsport seats.
The car will be sold with the original RS Speedline wheels which have been refurbished with the correct "Speedline for Porsche" etchings on the outer rims. (These wheels haven't been used on the car since being refurbished.)
The car currently runs on a set of Cargraphic 3 piece split rims which along with the number plate on the car (N22 RSR) are available by separate negotiation. The car has done 58,000 miles, I have owned it for the past 2 years and covered 10,000 miles (all road, no track days) in it.
Described by Ninemeister as "one of the nicest 993 RS's they have driven" The underneath is "incredibly straight which is unusual for one of these"
Condition can only be described as excellent. Offers in the region of £41,500

Cheeky beggar Vic!! You need to help me hassle Tom to come to Spa next year. I know him from our E30 M3 track days.

Thought for a moment you were going to sell your beautiful Riviera Blue RS []

Harry

No not yet Harry, unfortunately all the clubsports, RSR's and GT2's are uba expensive,
and so I shall have to keep dreaming of 6 numbers and stick with what I've got for the
moment, mus'nt grumble its a fabulous motor !!

I remember the days when a Clubsport was being sold for 84000 Euros......I was actually looking for a Riviera or Speed Yellow RS but nothing came up so I settled for the Guards Red.

Harry

Are you sure your not on commission[;)]........Tom has cars coming all the time surely...he is an RS car dealer[;)]

True Harry, I have old printouts of 993 rs clubsports from August 2005,
polar silver 51,000km, €82,993 which was about £56,440,
at the time the NGT was approx €10,000 more than the lightweight,
the gap has certainly increased now to more like €20,000 maybe more,
I would estimate the lightweight has increased from around high forties
to mid fifties in the last twelve months, with this trend the 993 rs should
hit £100,000 around 2016 !!

RiV..M002...are you actively looking to change or are Tom and yourself just good mates?

I wanted to buy that silver CS back then,,,buyer came over from France.....even missing out i worked out I obviously wanted a CS and sold my RS shortly afterwards...took 8 long months before I found a sensible mileage CS.

Now I own one, I have to say apart from the sense of occasion and track use....the regulsr RS may well be the better all round car [;)]

I think Tom probably has many friends over in the UK, having met him only a couple of
times, and spoke to him many times I would like to think he is a friend, he actually
put me off getting a clubsport at the time I purchased the current rs, I take your point the clubsport may be too extreme for regular road use and maybe a lightweight rs
would be more user friendly, however that bare metal interior just does it for me, I do have some raw experience of 964 rs clubsports as both my local mates have them,
one of them having around ten 911's, including 996 gt3, 996 gt2, but he rates his 964
rs clubsport above everything he has owned, so that's some statement and some car,
I have never experienced a 993 rs club, maybe I could hitch a ride at Oulton Park from
some kind owner...what do think Paul? we can trade rides.

Unfortunately I will not be at Oulton,,,too far north for me...still, at bedford on the Saturday instead.
As your mate with the 964 says, they are interesting....the cage transforms the car on track, fantastic feel....the noise with no interior is incredible, posssibly noisier than 964 for whine as the box has 6 speeds to rattle around......earplugs are best for long distance, but you really have to be in the mood....my old RS was a daily driver and track car,,, the CS cannot go out for a gentle run round.....it may start out that way,,,but then gets full on.......just the nature of the beast.
I am sure we will meet up at a trackday over the season at some point to compare notes.......you may have seen the car, it was the standard spec yellow one at Eynsham, parked on the grass [:)]
