Hi guys. I know it’s a well worn subject but any idea what I should expect to pay for a 4 year service for my 991.2 Carrera at an OPC? Its a major and first quotes coming in around £2K!

I live W London - are any OPCs know to be better value than others?

Thanks all.

Chris

Hi Chris,

It may be worth checking out this thread elsewhere on the forum:

Forum Home>All Forums>General>General Porsche Discussion Area>Which OPC

Part way down, there is an attachment posted by another forum member listing the OPCs that participate in fixed price servicing. Whilst I am not sure this is being provided now, it may be worth checking out the OPCs listed to see if any are of any use. Unfortunately, none of them are in the London area but it may be worth contacting one or 2 to get some quotes and compare it with the one you have been given.

All the best,
Keith

Hi - I have been quoted about £1k fixed price for a major though based on some of the experiences of others, I anticpate there will be some "add ons".

not sure this is directly comparable but maybe an indicator - last major service on my 991.1 was about 1200 with some extras included.

Thanks for the info all. I went with a fixed price quote of £1555 and v disappointed to find they propose a range of ’extra’ advisories which would add nearly £700.... My 2016 991.2 has only done 20K miles too! Not happy. Chris

as a matter of curiosity what were the extras?

my 991 gen1 had a big bill for it's 4th year service as did my macan - so not entirely surprising year 4 service costs are high - but your bill does sound very high even then?

I wouldn't get hung up on the mileage thing though - service items are time based as fluids and consumable items need replacing even if working (sparks for example seize in sockets due to galvanic corrosion if not regularly replaced, brake fluid is hygroscopic and so on)
