Hi all

Im hoping I can get some help, I want to fit a reversing camera to the rear bumper of the 991.1 GT3RS the car is a 2016 and is running PCM3.1. I want to use only OEM parts too. Has anyone done the mod or does anyone know what parts numbers are required etc? I’m pretty good with DIY so routing of cables, mounting hardware etc I should be good.

thanks in advance

My local Indy did one and it was a PITA and cost >£2k with all the original OEM parts. They vowed never again...

Better have local audio shop do it, original parts will not make it warranty compliant.

Good luck,

Have some part numbers through some digging

still require info on wiring

brackets and module

it certainly looks doable.

if anyone has pictures of how cables should run and where brackets are situated with photos that would be greatly appreciated

You can get the PET file for 991 GT3 here just select the model, hit "Display" and it will download the entire PET file.

That would be much appreciated

Take a look at the referenced file in my revised post above and let me know if there is any further PET info I might try to get from the current on-line system. (Hope you're still on-line [:)])

Check the rear PU - is there a squarish body coloured plug top of license plate indent - this is where the OEM camera is located. You should be able to see in on the relevant rear body PET image. But was a reversing camera an option on Gen 1?

No it wasn’t, Gen 2 only but that did include the GT3RS ??. We’ll get this to work with Gen 2 gear I’m sure
