I am struggling to get the inbuilt phone module to work and would appreciate some advice.
I have sim card from smarty (three) and it works fine on my mobile phone but when i inserted the sim card into the pcm the system appears to be stuck in 'turning on phone'..
I am intending to use it just for phone calls in the car.

I tried with an o2 sim and no luck.
The local Porsche dealer suggested that it needs to be a big 2G sim card from 2015 and that the newer 3in1 sims dont work. I was quite surprised as I though the standard size sim is universal and would work...

Thanks in advance

I also have a 2015 MY 991.1.

Unfortunately, I don't have a SIM adapter so can't try my O2 SIM in my car.

But if you're based in or around LE2 then you're welcome to try your SIM in my car so you can work out if it's a SIM problem or a PCM problem.
