As for who is driving the 944 looked from their preview clips at the start of the show that it will be JC.

My Wife baulked at the cost, I pointed out that mine was near £30k 21 years ago and so £50k for a car that performs almost the same with 21 years of inflation/deflation seems entirely reasonable.

..... and you would be correct! [
1st Stig (in Black) was the British Racing driver Perry McCarthy (who was fired after revealing that he was the Stig in his autobiography), then moved on to be Ben Collins.... this was confirmed in the Health and Saftey report of Richard Hammond's crash where the report stated Collins:
"worked closely with Top Gear as a high performance driver and consultant."
lasts nights Schumacher revelation as the stig I think you will find will be a little 'stunt' - and probabily the only way that they were allowed to have a Fxx - i.e. if Schumacher drove it.. [

Bloody hell, a mate's just phoned to say his wife caught the 944's reg when they showed it at the start of tonight's episode & it's his old S2 []
An S2 for £1500?? lets hope it's a pile of turd or values will sink even further.
My mate sold it about 6yrs ago with 130,000 miles on it. It was a good car at the time but a lot can happen in six years [
I guess it'll be a similar story to the 928 JC bought, he'll have over-reached & spent his entire budget on a very poor example for comedy effect.

S2s arent hard to find for £1,500.
Any S2 being sold for £1500 is either going to very ropey or the seller is going to be desperate. Personally if I had my time again I'd be looking for the best S2 out there, as it's still going to be cheaper than doing sills/belts/clutch and all the other stuff that'll need doing.
Alas buyers at the moment are thinking short term outlay, not long term cost so the cheaper cars are no doubt selling quickly. I'm sure there are plenty of them out there too, including this one:
