944 November get together

Food, oh yes.
Glenn, let us know if the pub needs an ETA and menu choices before hand.

Looking forward to it already!

I could be tempted but a lot on over the next month. Will have to tread very carefully when negotiating my day pass so I'm a maybe at this stage..

Very amusing reading guys especially as fairly p****d on Marsala as in Sicily. Missed Targa Florio by 2 days but please add me to chilly Snetterton trip. Must meet Mas at some point!

Guys,
I am thinking of a meeting point for breakfast / coffee as follows hopefully central for all?

Little Chef
Barton Mills
IP28 6AE

22 miles to Snetterton

Meet there at say 9 - 9.30?

What do you all think.

Good location for a meeting but it will take me 2 hours to get there so, like Edd, I'll eat before hand.

Looks ok as a meeting point but I'll probably be getting breakfast before then!

Edd

Edd and any other Southerners, how about we follow the same plan as we did for Rutland and meet at South Mimms and then run together up to Barton Mills to join with the rest of the gang. My normal Snetterton route is A1/A505/A11/A14/A11 which will take us straight to Barton Mills.

Got to pull out, I'm afraid. Were supposed to be seeing a good friend who's undergoing chemo, but he's not great this weekend. The only time we can all do is the 18th. [&o]

Sorry to hear that Paul.

Just seen this and, as i am now past my mid life crisis, it would be rude not to [:D]! So.........it's
7)Ex Skyline (Pete).

If it's Snowing or pi55ing down with rain, i reserve the right to pull out (i would have to drive too slowly in the Turbo)[:D]

We won't blame you on the snow, and you won't be alone! We all bailed on the Rutland meet last February due to snow. Mind you, the re-scheduled event in March was held in torrential rain. The "Southerners" ran up the A1 in a group of five cars, three S2s and a pair of Luxes, and I'd never appreciated just how much water a 944 at pace throws out the back compared to a modern car 'til that day. We laid down a wall of spray all across the A1 [:)]

Could Martin and Pete please indicate whether they're going to join us for the pub meal so that we can get a handle on the numbers, please? Also, can anyone who is going to the pub and taking passengers please indicate, otherwise I will assume one car one person.

Sorry Glen, i forgot to say no food for me mate as i'm on a diet (he say's waiting for the hoots of laughter and torrent of fat cnut abuse)!![:D]. However, if my diet all goes t1ts up,can i grab scoff with you at the last minute mate?

We'll put you down as "nil by mouth" at the moment then, Pete. There's usually room around a pub table to squeeze an extra one in if needed.
