944 Memory lane

They posted on here in the early days of this forum, it was a very early oval dash - I bought it from someone near Dartford who had bought a 968

I was saving to buy a new house when that was for sale (complete with a set of body moulds) I could have bought it instead (at the reserve)
and probably made more money - My wife didn't fancy living in it - and part of the reason fro moving was the lack of garage space. I think it didn't sell that weekend.

Anyway enough of mine, show me your old photos! (or I will go and search old CDs / hard drives ;) )

Slightly off piste :- In 2005 at the national event a former 944 register secretary (maybe before he held that post) was inflating his airbed whilst enjoying a glass of red wine and having a chat - whilst regaling us with a very entertaining tail there was a loud bang and a mushroom cloud of talc could be seen, much to our (not his) amusement!
The following year Rick of WUF fame sourced some weather balloons to sneak inside the tent of the former register secretary (let us call him Nick) much to our further amusement.

The 944 register team from Eynesham the same year (2006) Myself, John Sims, Paul McNulty and Paul Smith (in front) Pedal karts / scalextrics / caly pigeon shooting. We won the hampers and a trackday at Donington - good times! (sadly GT3 wasn't a prize)
