howdy

Currently on my 944 i have teledials. Im after a new set but all i can seem to find is 15. But mine are 16s? never seen a set of 16s on the net anywhere? just wondering why this is? found it a bit weird that mines got 16 and all i can find is 15s. And if anyone might know if some has a set anywhere?

16" Teledials were only fitted to the pre- '87 Turbo or (I think) some post '87 Lux models (and the widths were different). I'm not sure when (or even 100% if) the Lux went from 15" to 16", but it may have been later than '87 making them relatively rare.

Set HERE but info is sketchy and they don't look to be in great condition (?)

Considered refurbishing your current wheels if a cleaner set is all you are looking for?

Where in the country are you? I have a spare set of 15" dials that you can borrow collect/return if it's just while your regular wheels are refurbed. I've just used them for this purpose myself having had both the D90s on the S and the CS wheels on the rose refurbished.

If you are after a set of 16" '87 turbo alloys I have a set with pretty good Toyo Proxe's (or something like that). They are in my garage and were fitted to my car (the originals from new) and are in very good condition with the coloured Porsche Crest centres. I've not really thought about selling them due to some strange sentimental feeling I have as my car was perfectly standard when I bought it and all my mods are reversible should I ever want to get the car back to standard again. However i'm planning a brake upgrade that needs 17" wheels I wouldn't be able to fit them again, so I might be tempted to part with them. Drop me a mail if you are interested.

Its gotta be the teledial alloys with tyres. If they looks like these:

Them il be interested.

Yes, they look like that. They have 205/50/17 up front and 245/45/17 if I recall correctly. They tyres are in very good nick with plenty of tread left. The wheels are in good nick also with no scrapes gouges. If the weather cools down over the next couple of days i'll get them out of the loft in the garage and take some photo's.

Don't 17" tyres go down quickly when fitted to 16" wheels? [8|]

My mistake they are 16". I don't think they ever made Teledials in 17". It was 15" on the Lux's and 16" on the early turbos.

Alfa 156 147 gtr spiders have 16" teledials, ebay item 160008394845,

We call them Phonedials and I am suprised someone is actually sourcing them. I think they rival the Cookiecutter as Porsches most ugly wheel. Only one man's opinion though.[;)]

h4x0r7000,
I pulled out a couple of my teledials, gave them a quick clean up and took a couple of snaps. The rear tyres have 6.5mm of tread and the fronts have 6mm so both wheels and tyres are in pretty good nick - there are a few minor scuffs and nicks but nothing particularly noticible. The wheel centres are the original coloured crest ones and are metal - not plastic with stickers like these new fangles ones, although the red on the Porsche crest has faded over the years so could do with a toch-up- but again they are in good nick - certainly better nick than my lawn. Give me a shout if they're what you're after.
