90, 000 miles bore score ??

New member
Hi looking at some advice on a a 991.1 2012 Manuel, and checking for bore score ? Is this a common problem on high mileage cars or random issue ? This pre purchase and the car has a full Porsche specialist service history done ever year . Many thanks in advance

Unlike the 9x6 and 9x7.1 cars the later 9x1 DFI engine cars don’t appear to suffer from significant bore scoring issues Richard. However that’s not to say that on a higher mileage car a degree of bore wear won’t be present, and if you’re concerned then a bore check by a specialist would be advisable, preferably as part of a full PPI.
