GT4 caliper piston dust boot replacement

I found this video albeit a different car & hoping I can do it as simply this
If anyone has replaced the dust seals, keen to hear if you were able to do this with the pistons still in place.

The reason for not removing the claiper would be just the extra work required plus a full brake bleed would then be needed, if they could be done insitu then a bleed could be avoided.I’m afraid that I can’t advise, but isn’t it going to be tricky getting into the limited space between the disc and the caliper when the pads have been removed to see what you’re doing? I can’t see any disadvantage in removing the caliper to get full access, but maybe I’m missing something.

The hardest part is removing the old dust boot outer ring which is metal covered in rubber. For the easier ones I managed this using a pick tool dragging at the outer edge then when far enough out used long nose pliers to drag the ring out.
Some of them were difficult to remove so found using a stanley knife blade to remove rubber from the metal ring aided the task.
The kits were about £25 each from Porsche.
The first pic shows the state of the old dust boots.
The second pic shows the first new dust boot in the first step of repair. So basically get it dragged over the head of the ceramic puck.
Once in position, give it a few spins to ensure its in place. Then the outer ring can just be pushed by hand into the slot.

Nice one on swapping out the boots in situ, what pads were you running for track use, I favour the Pagid RS29 but always nice to see what other track folk run.Just been switching back to stock pads & noticed the rear caliper piston dust boots are part melted from track use.
Has anyone replaced these & can it be done with the caliper still on the car?
I've just replaced the discs & pads with sebro discs/brembo pads which look identical to stock but going to run a slotted disc for track this year & try Endless MX72 plus pads.

I have heard good things about the MX72 pads, I feel your pain re the pad deposits - normally end up with hideous judder.First few trackdays were on stock pads but left terrible deposits on the discs. So switched to DS3.12's, great on track but squeal a bit at low speed stops on the road.
