It ended up a blue-sky day for the London Region's drive to the apocalyptic windswept landscape of Dungeness.
Passing through the lanes of Kent and the hop kilns (Oast houses) we stopped briefly at the village of Tenterden for a welcome pit stop.
Punching further south towards our southeast home, the desolate but 'artsy' Dungeness beach, for lunch at the London favourite the Snack Shack. We were soon tucking into flatbreads stuffed with amazing fresh fish from their own boat.
