The autumn R20 invasion of the Pas de Calais region was a resounding success. Having set up HQ at The Hermitage in the walled town of Montreuil-sur-Mer, Field Marshal ‘JC’ sent the troops far and wide; into the town, to the coastal town of Le Touquet and the country roads surrounding our secure base. Returning as night fell, we reported in before taking over the local rotisserie.
As the sun rose on Sunday morning we snaked through the flowing countryside to Saint-Valery-sur-Somme to continue our search. Exploring this picturesque port town in the sunshine our needs were met with steaming pots of Moules. Replete we took the scenic coastal road home, checking the defences as we went. Arriving home happy, tired and knowing that our Porsches had had a good run. A bit thank-you to ‘JC’ for organising the weekend, and to Captain Chaos, for the chaos that ensued.
