Sponsored by Porsche Centre Isle of Man, we have a fantastic event planned for Sunday, 12 September to celebrate the Club’s 60th Anniversary. The key number for the event is ‘60’ and so we would really like to get at least 60 cars of all types, age and condition to showcase the diversity of the brand.
The main part of the day will be a 60-mile tour of the Island, stopping at the Isle of Man Motor Museum for a VIP guided tour before returning to Porsche Centre Isle of Man where the event will continue.
The schedule for the day will be as follows*:
11am – 12 noon: Arrive Porsche Centre Isle of Man
Meet and greet, German themed light brunch** ready for the 60-mile tour of the Island.
12 noon: Depart for the first leg of the tour. Full details and a map will be supplied upon arrival.
Approx 1pm: Arrive at the Isle of Man Motor Museum for a VIP Guided Tour by the owners Denis and Darren Cunningham, retelling the stories behind their favourite cars and an exclusive look ‘behind the scenes’ at current projects.
Approx 2.30pm: Set off on the final leg tour over the mountain to return to Porsche Centre Isle of Man
3-3.30pm: Arrive back, where the day continues with:
- Meet the team introduction including Head of Business Darren Moore, Porsche Brand Manager Matt Jones and Porsche technician Dean Quayle.
- We are hoping to have an all-electric Taycan and other models for members to view.
- Afternoon cocktails provided by the Fynoderee Distillery who will also do a short talk and a Q&A session on their business including very exciting and exclusive news regarding their new Whisky and Rum launches.
- A ‘grazing table’** High Tea will be provided by the highly acclaimed ‘Harvest – Isle of Man’.
- Opportunity to win two exclusive Pit Pass tickets to a Porsche Carrera Cup day. £10 per raffle ticket with all funds going to a local charity.
- A very ‘unusual’ Porsche judging will take place – more details on the day but not Concours standards!
- There will also be screens showing Porsche races.
Event anticipated to end by 6 – 7pm.
Cars may be left at the venue for collection the following day for those partaking in the Fynoderee’s finest.
