We had a record turnout for this year’s BBQ at Grande Tyres Fastfix. Thanks to Dave Urwin who stepped forward as chef for the afternoon. His efforts keeping the bangers & burgers in constant supply were appreciated by all, as were the cakes that were brought along. Everyone will probably agree that our R3 ladies could put most of the Great British Bake Off contestants to shame. There were many debates under the cars that were put up on the ramp for inspection. With a team of R3 members under a car, the smallest leak or tiniest speck of rust didn’t stand a chance of going unnoticed. Money raised at the BBQ totalled £200 which will be donated to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
