Following the latest advice from the Government, Porsche Club and circuits have put in place a set of procedures designed to keep you safe by adhering to social distancing restrictions while still providing the fun driving experience you have been looking forward to.
We have created new trackday guidelines, including pre-event registration, online sign-in, and online briefing videos and as well as providing clear instructions on how COVID-19 restrictions will operate throughout the day.
Going forward, there are several changes to the way trackdays will operate. To comply with Government advice please be aware that:
• all participants must register online before the event
- If you have not registered via the online sign-in for these events you may not be able to attend the trackday.
•Where possible, briefings will be provided via a link no more than 24 hours before the event and must be viewed in full before attendance on the trackday.
•Only drivers booked on the day and passengers/additional drivers from the same household are permitted to attend the trackday – no one else, whether friends, family or spectators are permitted to attend.
•Helmets are not available for hire. All participants are required to bring their own helmets. Porsche Club can supply names and links for suppliers if you need to purchase a helmet.
•In-car instruction is not available. However, a chief instructor may be available on the day to provide driving advice in the paddock area. He or she may also drive a lead car early in the day to provide an idea of the line drivers should be following.
•Catering is available at most circuits on a take-away basis only – card payments only please
•UK Government guidelines currently state that leisure activities (such as trackdays) are only permitted where the participant can travel from their home to and from the venue on the same day. Overnight stays, camping or motorhomes are not permitted at any circuit at this time
Where members have booked instruction, additional drivers or passengers not in the same household, or helmet hire has been paid for, these items will be refunded.
IMPORTANT: You must not attend an activity if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, or you are required to self-isolate under Government guidelines.
