South West Wheels Visit

A wonderful turnout for the meeting in Exeter last evening and a great guided tour around the factory by proprietor, Bob Moore.
I always thought wheel repairs were carried out by men in dark corners of a shed using wire brushes and spray cans!

Last night's tour completely dispelled that theory, when we learned all about the molecular structure of alloys and the many stages and treatments each wheel receives before the refinishing process begins. There is considerable investment in plant and machinery too - all needed to return the wheels back to the customer in pristine condition, usually as good as or better than new. [:)]

A most interesting event and thanks a million to the R15 organisers for this event and the excellent refreshments that accompanied it.

Regards,

Clive

Double Ditto. These guys really know what they are doing and I would take my wheels there without hesitation
