991 C4S side ppf missing and recommendation

Hi all

New 991 c4s owner here.

I noticed my car is missing the lower vinyl/ppf shark fins? That sit behind the doors but in front of the rear wheels - pics attached.

Does anyone know whether this was factory standard or an optional add on, I do wonder whether the previous owner removed it? Obviously no contact with the previous owner otherwise I would ask.

The area on both sides is covered in chips like a rash, so going to have to get it resprayed, however I want to apply this ppf to the sides after it’s been rectified to avoid future damage.

Does anyone recommend a specific brand/type as I’m planning to diy it given its so small.

Thank you

I believe you can get factory stone guards. Your OPC should be able to order them for you, or your bodyshop.

Thanks, I think I’m going to diy the ppf, opc has quoted 180 for new guards but I need to get the paintwork sorted first.

Does anyone have recommendations for companies that do good blends, most people I’ve spoken to say the whole wing needs spraying or at the least a re lacquer to the entire wing which I don’t want to do as people seem to have a thing for oem paint.

Thanks
