Passenger Side Turbo Oil Leak

Hi all, i thought I would share a recent issue.
My 2016 991.2 C2S started dropping a few spots of oil on the driveway , so promptly had a quick look and started my inter web search for reasons.
The reasons were varied and were applicable to both 991.2 and 992 , and covered turbo seals, clamps , oil separators, cool side pipe leaks etc etc.
So the car was booked into the garage for investigation , and the issue being the oil feed to the bearings , no issues with the pipe or the seal , but the torx screw that holds the pipe fitting to the turbo body had corroded through , and was just sitting on top held by the oil, rust and dirt build up .
What was also noted was that the manifold to turbo inlet nuts had all but corroded away, clearly the OEM nuts are substandard.
The good news was that the turbo is fine, as were all of the seals and clamps on the pipework.
Repairs are now underway and car will be back within the week.
I hope this helps others if a leak occurs.

Apparently turbos fail often on the 3.0L cars. I have seen it happen, noted replacements on a 992 demonstrator and had an indie warn me off a .2 car for this reason.
Were your repairs done by an OPC? If ever there is a case for getting a warranty its this. I heard that replacing a turbo is circa £8K. I don't know if thats accurate but I am pretty sure its going to be a lot more than the £1K per year a warranty costs.

Hi, I have a warranty and had the work done by an independent garage, I saw the paperwork for the parts , a new turbo and pipework (one side) was £3.2k after discounts etc from Porsche. It took him a day to do the work, and no need to drop the engine.
On inspection of the old turbo the surface where the main oil feed pipe is fixed has rusted away , the fixing screw had rusted through and only the rigidity of the pipe stopped the whole thing failing. Upon inspection the turbo ( whilst fully operational) was not repairable, so a new unit was put in.
All the bolts and studs on both turbos replaced as these has all but rusted away.
