For those interested in attending either or both of the Action days, Spring Action Day and the German Performance Day, at Castle Combe on the 2nd and 23rd of April respectively, please drop me an email at R16@porscheclubgb.com and I’ll forward the booking link and pass code.

We have a 20 car stand booked for each - price early bird - £20.00 per car (plus £2.49 booking fee) early bird ends 6 weeks before event full price then £25.00 plus fee. Track time can also be booked for an additional fee (If you‘re feeling brave!!!)

Best regards

Paul

An update on the Castle Combe Spring Action Day, 2nd April 2022.

CC have advised that all of the club stand places have now sold out. Tickets are still available but for general parking only. Whilst we had reserved a 20 car stand only 5 places sold in the time that slots were available.

There are still places available for the German Car Performance Day on the 23rd of April.

Are Castle Combe saying that PCGB R16 only have parking space for just 5 cars ? I read the details from CC saying that we had space for 20 cars. We can't expect everyone to book early. I was one of the ones who booked quite early.

Paul, Yes that is correct. We have the 5 spaces on the stand that have been paid for. The only way we could have guaranteed the 20 spaces was to pay for them all in advance and then hope enough people signed up, but the challenge then is the potential for either the Club or RO being out of pocket.

Maybe worth discussing the other up and coming CC events this evening. Unfortunately the circuit no longer issue free passes.

I’m more than happy to pay for the stands in advance, but we would need to be sure of turn out. I don’t think 20 cars is unreasonable based on past attendance (We managed about that on a very wet Saturday in October for the CC Classic event) [:)]

Hi Paul

I didn't realise this until you highlighted it so I assume others didn't either and didn't book ahead. 5 spaces is dismal really although in practice there may be more space than that on the day, but who can tell. We need to highlight the need to book asap to guarantee the spaces. I assumed (incorrectly) that the 20 spaces was a given. I was going to bring my new (old) track car to show. Who else is booked...do you know?
