Aren't new and demo cars `supposed` to be sold at MRRP ?

Thank you Andrew, I needed a good laugh.

However cynical it might have been......

More naivety than cynicism really, given how manufacturers advertise their new car pricing, including that of ... `on the road`

Solihull, just put their demo BGTS 4.0 on the used car website. Okay it's got Burmeister but it's a used demo AND.........£105,000🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Very pleased to see that Colchester selling my cancelled BGTS order are not price gouging like Solihull, but selling at MRRP.

Good to know but can't see it on their website, it's Jardine Motors the same as Cambridge who sold me a cancelled order in April at list price. They seem to be one of the better OPCs.

Was in their showroom yesterday with a £78546 price tag. Had to go and have a look!

Car landed at the dealers today. Please could somebody advise me the easiest way to upload pictures to this site.

I assume that you have now taken delivery of your new car, Glenn. In fact by now you might be well on the way to getting it run in!
It must be lovely to finally have it after such a long wait.

I wish I could say yes. The car is still at OPC waiting for my slot with a local detailer for ppf and ceramic coating
looking forward to showing it off at  the Castle Howard show.

Just ticked over 1000 miles in mine today. Busy weekend so it will be covered in flies at The Motorist tomorrow. It's much quicker than I remember from the Silverstone experience day and that's without getting near the upper rev range..

I have just completed 1,800 miles. A lot of that was on the IoM and I agree this engine is sublime, so much low down power and so quick. Mine is going for an oil change next week then I will start to extend the rev range gradually. I even love the sound it makes😉

They certainly are fun. Recently back from the IoM too, and at 1800 miles and fully warmed up I enjoyed some more of the performance on offer.
The suspension stays so composed that fairly high speeds aren't dramatic, the IoM roads are often fantastic, but other than the mountain section of the TT course they aren't "track smooth" so the suspension works hard to keep the wheels in contact when getting well past 100, the compliance in the GTS does this admirably.

The engine definitely has two characters. Above 4500 rpm it becomes significantly more aggressive and responsive. The brakes are stellar, feelsome and powerful.

Mine will be going for a geo set up at some point, its very good for the road but turn in could be a little sharper. A tweak to the tyre pressures may help in that respect.

No issues getting on/off ferries (I went out via Heysham and back through Liverpool), No grounding issues other than a few very light scrapes of the lower plastic dam under the nose on some quite extreme speed bumps.

Took my BGTS on track on Friday at an Evo track day.
Wow! My previous 981 GTS was amazing but the 4.0 was a new level. The torque, acceleration, handling, poise and all round dynamics were incredible. 48 hours later I am still buzzing. And I saw 140 mph for the first time! Cleaning the flies off today has been quite a chore!
The bonding process is complete - I love this car. Next stop Anglesey in July before taking it down to the Italian lakes in September. Can’t wait.

Back from The Motorist and many more flies collected (didn't even attempt to use the screen wash - it would have been a waste of time). I don't want to go all superlative so I'll just leave it at the car is bloody good. As a road car it's right on the money. I had a V6 Exige before which was very fast but a bit hardcore for my advancing years and the Boxster feels quicker still - it's "just right" pretty much everywhere. I really don't get the long gearing criticisms either - for me the car is really a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde character. It's a fantastic mile munching cruiser and a full on mentalist depending on what you want.

Just had an oil and filter changed by my friendly Indi after completing 1,800 miles. Must be psychological but it seems smoother after the oil change. Only used 0.5 litre in 1,800 miles so apparently that is good.
Starting to extend the rev range now with a couple of full throttle 5,000 rpm blasts, this engine is just EPIC😳

Wow! 12-15 4.0s in one group, something to see, I wonder what group that would be? Not seen anything mentioned  in my local S/W PCGB regions.

Popped into Porsche Bournemouth after the oil change at my Indi as I was passing and to have a moan about no replies to my calls and get them to look at the carbon fibre on the cup holder. Actually managed to see a new service assistant who came out to the car and looked, took some photos and then went with me to a GTS Cayman they had for sale with carbon. He agreed that the carbon was wrong. Got his computer and said, we need to book it in for the warranty process......we will need the car for 2 days, whilst we process the warranty claim. Then I can pick it up and return for the part to be fitted if approved. I just fell about laughing, they want my car for 2 days just to look at the b****y cup holder🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I said I want to see the service manager who fortunately came out after 30 minutes with a tech who agreed and have started the warranty process😡
Then bumped into my SE who offered me a coffee and checked my order process...apparently I may well be in line for a 4th qtr slot to spec and lock in a car for early 2024 delivery......now that will be a dilemma😳

Not yet sure if I can get Zunsport grilles for my pending GTS, as I have selected the option for front & rear parking sensors with the camera.  Clicking the fitment of parking sensors on the Zunsport website returns no results for a suitable grille, and on contacting them, they advised me to send pictures when I get the car. And 'ACC' by the way refers to Activated Cruise Control - they do modified grilles for that option.

Do you have a collection date yet?
I went into Bournemouth last week to start a warranty claim for the cup holder carbon fibre, which they agree is not correct. Met with a salesman and he said I was now 4th on the list for my original order😱
Think I will keep it, but push it back to see if I could possibly get a late '24 or early '25 car.

Thought I would make a contribution to this GTS 4.0 fan club. Moved from a 981 GTS to the GTS 4.0 in January and now 4000 miles later I can concur with the views of many previous contributors - what a simply superb car this is! A recent tour around North Wales (including a stop-off at Anglesey for the track day)  confirmed the touring credentials of the car.  The car is also very much at home on the "B" roads of the Cairngorms - my back yard here in NE Scotland. Holiday snaps alert! A few pics from the recent N Wales tour and Anglesey Circuit, loads more on the website if you have time, interest, patience ... PLB PHOTOS - Home (weebly.com)
