orlyWell I hope the wait has reduced a bit. I ordered my Shark Blue (although that colour didn't exist at the time) Boxster GTS 4.0 nearly 20 months ago... It's finally built, nearly at the dealer, and I pick it up in a week. Hooray! I sold my 981 Cayman S shortly after ordering, not expecting for a moment it to take 20 months. When I ordered I was told it would be about 9 months (spring 2022) and I figured I could live without the Cayman over winter 21/22. When I realised how long I'd be waiting I bought a 944 S2 last summer for a bit of fun. Will be out at the R19 meet this Sunday in that. I'll post some pics, when I get a chance, but in the mean time what are folks thoughts on running in for the 4l engine? Please feel free to point me at posts I've been too lazy to look for. Found something on pistonheads which suggested: up to 300......5000rpmsup to 420......5500rpmup to 540......6000rpmup to 660......6500rpmup to 780......7000rpmup to 900......7500rpmRedline after about 1000 miles. Cheers Olly.
BigcolJust one other thought about running in. If, and of course it’s a big If, a warranty issue was to arise, the car will be plugged into a diagnostic which is a history of the way the car has been driven.

JurassicGTSorly Stunning colour, maybe I will have to pop up to one of your meetings from Dorset to view it.Still can't quite decide whether to go black or dark blue for the soft top, but leaning towards black to match the interior and wheels.
CobydogThat is a nice car - my dentist has a 911 in that colour and it’s hard to tell it’s green in certain light - more like dark grey. decent price too….
orlyWell, it was a long wait, but I'm very pleased. Did a nice long B road drive back from the dealer, and a total of about 90 miles yesterday. Love the engine, but very much looking forward to getting the miles on the clock and using the higher revs. Seeing my car was the first time I'd seen shark blue in the flesh and whilst I'm sure it's not for everyone, I really like it. I'll take some photos with a proper camera and post them here soon. Olly.
