My 981 (PDK) doesn't have a central radiator but the air is ducted to the two outer rads from the centre. That was my reason for going for the full set.

Hi, I have a 987.2 2.9 with PDK. I’ve just had the fronts done with Zunsport but not the centre. It hasn’t got any opening just blanked off. Presume this is the same on other 987.2’s with PDK?

Just read this on Planet 9 forum:-

Base Cayman's with a 2.9L and PDK do not have a 3rd radiator, just the 3.4L with PDK has the 3rd radiator. I used to have a 2010 Base Cayman with PDK and it did not have a center radiator. I have no idea about MT 2.9L or 3.4L MT Cayman's.

FYI Robert my manual 987.2 CS doesn’t have the centre rad, only a plastic blanking panel. Presumably the 3.4L/PDK powertrain combination runs hotter?

I have just had grilles fitted to my car by Parr, I'm very pleased with the bespoke grilles they have made! Hopefully these shall protect my shiny new air conditioning condenser...

That’s a very neat job Callum - sorted!

Incidentally, at the Register Zoom meeting this week a chap with a GT4 [which has mesh grilles as standard] was complaining that he gets a lot of fine debris collecting behind the grilles, so it sounds as though they’re not a cure-all and that an occasional clear-out is still necessary, although stone protection is enhanced significantly.

The Grilles look great! My only concern would be that debris can still enter the sides via the central opening.

The grilles actually wrap around so that does not happen 👍
