Part number for 986 Boxster S badge for rear boot

Club,
Just about to have the rear boot cover resprayed.
Need to obtain a Boxster S badge for the boot as one on will be trashed by painter.
Anyone know part number and anywhere I could buy one?
It's a 2001 Boxster S 986.
Many thanks,
Steve

Steve,

Look up your 986 BS on here: https://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/classic/genuineparts/originalpartscatalogue/

In the Body group under Illustration: 810-00 Insignias you'll find various part numbers for the Boxster and S badges in different finishes.

Thanks for the replies.
Found part code, thanks Jeff, and found new parts on ebay.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/it...a67:g:9G4AAOSwZVlXtykd
and
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192450545158
£76 the pair.
Now to find the template to ensure it's stuck on the boot in the original Porsche position after painting.

Steve,

There was a similar recent post regarding the position of the boot badge but it was for a 987:

You could PM Richard_Hamilton. He seems to have access to a lot of official Porsche data.

Hi Steve,

I removed my boot lid badge when I did a full paint correction.  Simply lay sheets of paper over the boot, stick down with masking tape, mark where the paper meets the boot lid so you can reposition it accurately after removal.  You can then mark where the badge is located (remember doing gravestone rubbings at primary school??!?) and cut out the paper.  Overlay it again and check all is good before removing the badge (heat gun / hairdryer on medium setting to soften the adhesive, followed by dental floss in a sawing motion).

Hope that helps,
Coz
