Stone chips

Hi all,

i have noticed the inevitable stone chips on the front and bonnet. I will at some point get these professionally sorted out. In the meantime does anyone have any views on touch up paint?
thanks

joe

Some advocate chipex but I’ve tried and to be honest I didn’t do a great job !!
ended up having a front respray ??

Tough problem, touch up never really gives a decent finish. However the PORSCHE touch up is appallingly expensive. My car is Sapphire Blue metallic and I found that Mazda Winning Blue from my girlfriends MX5 is an exact colour match at less than half price.

Worth shopping around for other matches
Cheers

used the touch-up pencils on a few tiny chips myself a few times - it does the necessary and protects against corrosion, but finish is always poor.
main reason I did it is to protect against corrosion - after it gets a few more I'll get it professionally fixed.
I wouldn't leave chips untreated (mine were on sill and bonnet) though - even if you put clear laquer on the chip it's better than nothing.
