I arranged a test drive on a low miles .2 GTS. The dealer kindly took the car to my home to test ground clearance and let me drive around my area.
I fowed the car back to mine and noticed brownish steam coming off the left rear side. We got to mine and I asked the driver if he'd had any problems on the way when suddenly there was a psssssssshhhhhhhh followed by the entire coolant being dumped on the ground.
Apparently it was due to the expansion tank cap not being fitted on properly. .
should I be worried in case it was something more?

The question is if the coolant tank cap was fitted incorrectly why was it undone in the first place?
1. Possibly to top up low level if so where was the leak?
2. Engine been out of car so was the coolant refilled correctly without airlocks?
3. Other
If this car is from an Official Porsche dealer with 2 year warranty then maybe all is well but ask for complete history.

This happened to me on a OPC test drive in 991c4s.Good test drive but when reversing into center the car was engulfed in a cloud of smoke which turned out to be steam.Water pouring out of the back of the car which was slightly alarming as this was the first car I looked at.Told by the center "well look into it but don't worry plus it will be covered by the warranty". Then the service manager came out and told me that they are audited every month and the audit team like to feel the coolant when they take the cap off as part of their audit process.LMAO. It was a long drive home ....
