Ok, what denotes a 944 owner,

Ill start,

Getting jealous of other owners with a working digital clock.

Any more ?

when you spend thousands of hours and twice the cars value trying to make it nice again..................

when people say 'Oh that's the one that has the proper Porsche engine and not the one from the VW Van' !

"when you drive other cars and reach into the door bin to apply the handbrake"
That's the best one so far IMHO - here's mine:
When you have to think before opening and closing the sun-roof: switch down means up - up means down (NOT TOO FAR!) then ignition to position 1 to park the roof, when the switch reverses its operation again.

You work through all sorts of alternative cars to use as a daily, and end up... buying another 944.

When in the dark you feel your way through "not that one, not that one, THAT one!" for the rear wiper, and are always relieved you have operated the rear wiper, not opened the sunroof (see above!)

- When you aren't sure whether you should be more concerned about plate lift, cambelts or rust in your sills.

- When the phrases "Of course it's a Porsche", "No, it doesn't have a VW engine" and "It's all about the handling" are used regularly in your daily speech

- When you find any other car you drive to be leaden, muted and unpleasantly badly balanced!

Oli.

...when you keep wishing it had a six cylinder engine (particularly after driving the Boxster S :) )

...when small children point and smile when you pop up your headlights. Comes a close second to Lambo doors :)

When sometimes you want to set fire to it, and other times, after a good drive you pat it.

Or....... When sometimes you want to set fire to it and other times it sets itself on fire!

... when each time you think you have solved an issue it actually raises several others.

Theres a black grease stain in your hair at the front from the boot catch spigot - A new take on the "The spot of shame"
