maybe not round Cadwell park though... [:D] Mate of mine has a fastest lap of 1.41 in a 1.6 Civic... (Ok it's a race car but even so...)

I've read a lot on here about how fast the 944 is, but it isn't really... Lovely car to drive, big midrange shove in a turbo, but ultimately, even a 300+ Hp turbo isn't "that" fast.
 
"Fast" when compared to most other 25 year old cars then. Gives the hot-hatch brigade something to worry about too.

Not as fast around Croft as a 370z but then again I had a driver handicap . . . Me

OK, back on thread....when you find yourself pondering the M44 series engine options of 3.0 16V, 3.0 8v, 2.8 8V, 2.7 16v, 2.5 16v, 2.5 8v, or 3.1 or 3.2......decisions decisions......$ and $......track or road setup.....
