Florida, eh?

Care for a short holiday sometime soon? It'll be sunny, and that car can't be hard to track down. I'm sure we can buy the guns when we are over there, which avoids all that tricksy smuggling-then-through-customs business ... (you have a career to worry about, although being a copper could possibly help there! [;)])

There is nothing in the rear view mirror, and you have just come up against another line of cars in front[:(]

When in the dark you feel your way through "not that one, not that one, THAT one!" for the rear wiper, and are always relieved you have operated the rear wiper, not opened the sunroof (see above!)

And then have to re-learn it all over again when you get a 968 as they have re-arranged them!

....your 8 year old son comes in from 'Quality Dad Time' covered in oil and grease from head to foot and gets you in trouble with Senior Management

...you can spend £30-50 and 30-60 minutes effort and make a real tangible difference to how the car drives (eg new gear lever, ARB Bushes, etc)

-when you spend twice what the car's worth having work done to fix the deferred maintenance and you're delighted with the result.
-when the people at my (former) employer all make fun of me for driving an old Porsche and I just smile because they drive 5 series diesels with fake "M" badges
-when the guy at my (former) employer who rides a Ducati 1098, says "your's is the only car in the parking lot worth driving..."

when you kick off the speaker grille for the umpteeth time when getting out the car .

when you drive round Tescos car parks for 10 minutes looking for a safe place to park.

When you press the rear hatch button, get out and go to the back to find that only one of the hatch pins have released grrrrrrrr

When you are approaching a toll bridge at speed trying to remove some change from the ash tray without breaking your fingers or side-swiping the car alongside.

Best of all you know you have a Porsche 944S2 when you have any car come up fast behind you and sit right on your bumper .You slam it in 3rd and leave them standing accelerating hard until they are just a spec in the rearview mirror, then pull over at 100mph and later watch them scream past triumphantly at 105mph [:D]

god I do love my 944s2

1. Door speakers: when I bought my 944 it had Blaupunkt door speakers fitted (the grilles are held on by screws as you can see) but the original grilles were supplied. I didn't like the Blaupunkt units so I re-fitted the original grilles. After I had kicked them off frequently, I went back to the Blaupunkts.
2. 944s are allowed to park at Tescos using up two spaces, or sideways in three spaces if available. Alternatively use the "children" spaces. I have children - OK they are in their twenties and they are not with me, but I have got children, so I qualify. Tescos are damn lucky that I am gracing their tacky car park anyway.
