Yay I have Boost

For the first time since owning the car and after removing the wastegate I finally have the car back together and I have boost, thankfully the shim did the trick. I ended up with 5 sheared bolts that needed drilling out and retapping only to find one was not tapped properly so another sheared bolt needed removing.

At the same time I removed two redundant alarms and a tracker, weight saving eh [:)]

Oooh and the postie delivered the Linen vinyl material I ordered so I can crack on with the door pods at the weekend.

excellent well done! your post reminded me of an old thread that is worth digging up again

wastegate wellbeing

it could be the start to a very slippery slope as some of the posters on that thread could tell you!

Tony

It already is Tony as I already purchased A Tial from the states in preparation of squeezing a few more horsies out of the old girl.

Thats a great thread Tony - Fare play to Paul and yourself... I think that one is deserving of the Technical Articles section ! Paul ?

Blimey Tony, that was from seven years ago []

I remember that day I first removed my wastegate so well. I met a bloke who became a good friend when he stuck his head under the car while it was jacked up on the driveway, purely to see what I was doing. Coincidentally he popped into the workshop today just to say hello
